Tonight, Rooney is opening for Fergie's Verizon Wireless VIP Tour at the Electric Factory. Unfortunately you can't buy tickets to this show, but you can actually WIN tickets at various places around town. We've never heard of an artist doing an all-promotional concert. Interesting. Fergie must be getting paid pretty good from Verizon to promote the hell out of their products. We found out through a Fergie's MySpace bulletin that you can get tickets....

What's new and/or interesting on TV this week.

As we predicted, it was a packed house at last night’s Incubus concert at the Electric Factory. And it the crowd was a weird mix, too – a lot of people who think Incubus is just the best band ever (we’re going to guess that these folks also rocked out to Creed back in the day and maybe today, too), fans of Albert Hammond, Jr.’s more mellow music, and a lot of drunk teenagers.

This weekend in English football has as its highlights back to back "derby days" which will see crosstown rivals doing battle against each other. Come out to the pub, grab a coffee or a beer, and imagine The Eagles playing a game against a team from Northeast Philly.
