Whoever your candidate of choice, make sure you hit your neighborhood precinct before the polls close this evening. Otherwise, we may send vintage Madonna and her off-key back-up dancers after you. (And when they catch you, maybe they'll make you dress like the Lady Miss Kier in this video, just to make sure you've learned your lesson.)

Well, it's one way to keep cool.
The shapeless dough of the internet, formed into tasty pellets and baked to perfection, just for you.
Let me just start off by saying that there is a lot of talent onstage during Being Alive. Let me follow that up by saying all the talent in the world can't save a bad show. It's not bad, I think, because Sondheim is some kind of holy, un-adaptable composer, whose music should never, never, ever be taken out of context, as some have suggested. In fact, more than a few revues have been built...

Banner week for SFist as the site's new editor introduced himself -- hooray for Brock! While the NY Times weighed in on SF's mayoral race, only SFist had the hard-hitting latest on candidate/activist Josh Wolf. Coverage of a protest vs. gentrification spawned a fantastic debate amongst SFist's readers. On Friday, we announced that we are fans of Madonna's Philadelphia fans. Today, we're beginning to try to get in their heads and decipher the mystique. Easier said than done with the shaky camera work, but we think it would be fun to enter from within a disco ball.
Dear Madonna Fans:
...Gifts from God: Scarlett Johansson has a great rack. (Via .)
...Philadelphia Recognition: Jodie Foster, Phillyist's graduation speaker, actually gave quite a good speech, and what you can't hear in the clip is all the Penn grads singing along with her. Superficial, you disappoint us. (Via The Superficial)
After yesterday's uber-long Elite -ist, we're back with something a little more manageable. And we're going to start doing things differently. Instead of trying to figure out what's going on with our sister sites as it's happening, we've decided to go all time-delay and tell you what went down the previous day. Not only is it easier for us, it keeps us from getting confused about what's fair game, posting-wise. The time difference between here and Shanghai was really getting confusing!
