The license is given after the guides pass an exam that tests their knowledge of Philadelphia history. They feel this is in violation of their rights and have filed a lawsuit against the city. Phillyist has obtained a copy of the guides' original complaint to City Council President Anna C. Verna: Dear......

What's new and/or interesting on TV this week. I Love the New Millennium (Mon, 9PM-10PM, VH1) VH1 is maybe getting a little carried away with their "I Love the..." series. This first episode of the 8-part series, predictably enough, takes a look at the year 2000. The second episode, aired immediately after......

As a straight American man, I believe that the current ruling by California lawmakers to legalize gay marriage is a mistake that will ruin this great American nation of ours! Yet, as a straight American man, I am not allowed to disagree with what the liberal, New York, Hollywood, cheese-eating, French-speaking, Oprah Book Club Reading, media-istas say is acceptable. Karen Gross is a woman of many talents. She's worked in PR. She edits a magazine. And she frequently performs as a cabaret entertainer in the Philadelphia area.
