A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets. The perfect Valentine's Day gift for that gamer you have a thing for: Chocolate Miis! (Via Sarah) Comic book fans are so pissed about the recent change Marvel made to Spider-Man - using a deal with the devil to erase Peter Parker's marriage to Mary Jane Watson - that even USA Today heard about it. For the record, we think it's stupid, too.......

The best of the internet, squirted out in flavorful neon globules, just for you. The big news today is, of course, the fact that Peter Jackson and New Line Cinema have mended fences and Jackson is going to direct not just one, but two movies based on The Hobbit. We don't remember the book being all that long, but hey, we'll give them our money twice. In slightly less exciting Peter Jackson-related news, Jackson and......

Michael Clayton is a wonderful example of learning to walk before you can crawl. Tony Gilroy, as a writer/director, evinces an offhand sense of authenticity and cool intelligence that has served the Bourne franchise well. It feels very much like the sort of old-Hollywood adult entertainment that, according to cranky movie critics (like, um, me), They Just Don’t Make Anymore. The title character, played by George Clooney, is a complex mixture of nobility, cynicism, and......

What's new and/or interesting at Philly theaters this weekend. Ira & Abby - Ira is a brilliant, neurotic Jew with tons of "issues" (hmm... where have we heard of that character before?), and Abby is a free spirit who likes to solve her friends' problems. They meet, fall in love, meet each other's parents, and decide to get married, all in just a few hours. Then, of course, a series of wacky shenanigans make them......

A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets. The Morning News has an important public service announcement for you regarding a terrible infestation you could already be experiencing without realizing it: hipsters! (Via) LOL Trek. It's "The Trouble with Tribbles" summarized in a series of screen grabs from the show captioned in lolcat fashion. Hi-larious. Many of these images are ripe for being turned into personal icons. WE IN UR STATION......

The best of the internet, chopped into tiny bits and grilled for your enjoyment. Game|Life's got the logo and a screenshot from the next Katamari game, Beautiful Katamari. The Typing of the Dead is still probably the most ridiculous game we've ever heard of. We really thought it was a joke at first, but it actually exists! And to be honest, after we thought about it, we decided that learning to type by having to......

Films: Mojave Phone Booth, Just Sex and Nothing Else Future Screenings: Mojave Phone Booth: Sunday, April 15, 9:30PM, National Constitution Center Just Sex and Nothing Else: No future screenings scheduled Who knew how exhausting sitting in a series of darkened rooms for a few hours at a time a piece could be? I don't think I've been this tired since I was trying to wrap up my senior thesis! At least the films I saw......

What's new and/or interesting on TV this week. Nature (Mon, 8PM-9PM, PBS [WNJS]) - In this episode of the venerable PBS nature show, narrated by F. Murray Abraham, reptile expert Ron Whitaker actually goes looking for giant crocodiles - those are crocodiles that are over 20 feet in length! That's one of those things we'd never do, but are more than happy to watch someone else do. The episode description mentions that he succeeds in......

My name's Brian. That's me in the picture above. It's not a good picture of me. In fact, it may be the worst picture I've ever taken. So begins SettleforBrian.com, the answer to all of those pretentious, swishy websites out there that promise love in two clicks and $29.99 a month. Brian doesn't want kids, sports a bald pate and a big nose, and got spurned by EHarmony.com ("I'm completely serious", he says, explaining that......

Fun and interesting stuff on TV this week: Lost (Wed; 9-10PM; ABC): Thank god it's a new episode - Phillyist got a little upset when we realized they were re-running the pilot last week, and that there would be nothing new from that mysterious little island and its weird and wonderful band of castaways. The new stuff this time is that Claire's baby is mysteriously sick, and she's headed back to the scene of her......
