HOW MUCH: $15. Get 'em here.
You know how we're always popping in right about here to tell you what you can't miss? Well, to miss this would be downright irresponsible. More importantly, it would rob you of every American's fundamental right to demand change, to join together in one of two (or any one of several decidedly quieter, although no less vital, third party) voices and express yourself in the most important venue there is: the voting booth.
HOW MUCH: $5. Get 'em here, or at the door 30 minutes prior to showtime. Tickets reserved online are held at the door until 5 minutes prior to showtime.

This Aussie comedy series is coming to a U.S. television near you, but you can catch a sneak peek at tonight's screening. Summer Heights High is a mockumentary television series in which three of the characters are played by the creator and writer, Chris Lilley. The show is no stranger to controversy—as its own network once reported.
It's such a beautiful word, isn't it? Say it with us: F r i d a y.
Sorry we're late but here's the scoop on a couple of tonight's goings-on.
Full disclosure: Yes, tonight is game one of the World Series, in which the Philadelphia Phillies battle the Tampa Bay Rays at 8pm Eastern Time. However, if you're not a baseball fan, there are some other options for this evening.
Well, with the Phillies coming up with that big NLCS win last night, everyone in the city is probably in a pretty good mood today. So we wonder whether everyone's going to be too cheery to be appropriately angst-ridden at the Electric Factory tonight and tomorrow, when punk/hardcore standard-bearers Rise Against (MySpace) and Alkaline Trio (MySpace) will play what promises to be one hell of an aggressive show. (Or, because they're playing two nights, is it two hells of aggressive shows? Our sense of grammar is off this morning.)
Happy birthday Casey Affleck. We're sorry you have to share a birthday with Muqtada al-Sadr, but it also happens to be the IBM Personal Computer's birthday, too. So call it even?
Happy birthday Andy Warhol!
HOW MUCH: Donations will be accepted, but there is no fee for participation. RSVP here.
Friday is for lovers.
Why did the Phillyist cross the road? To get to...
If you're in work and actually working, you're probably in the minority.
Don't forget, if your work day gets rough, that it's actually Wednesday and not Tuesday. In Holidayland, where the weeks are short and the thunderstorms the weathermen have been insisting on for almost two weeks continue to evade radar. Evadar? Oh, nevermind. Hopefully we haven't jinxed the mild dry spell.
Friday may be the sexiest day of the week. It's foreplay. It's all about anticipation. What's coming next?
It should never be 74 degrees when you leave for work in the morning. Ever.
You know it's bad when the dry cleaning lady gives you a disapproving look and tells you she can't guarantee success on the first try.
HOW MUCH: $15-25
Let's hear it for passive-aggressive weather patterns!
HOW MUCH: $5-15
We bring you Monday classics this evening.
Smile people: It's Friday!
Some of you have work tomorrow. Others do not. To the former, our condolences. To the latter, our congratulations.
The Urban Dictionary has no shortage of definitions for the word "flaky". And this Phillyist has read them all. He feels painfully well-described by their variety and cold accuracy.
Do you all stay in your apartments and houses weeping of boredom when we leave you hanging? Do you sit at home bleary-eyed, wondering just what it is that you can't miss? We hate to hurt you, and we'll never do it again. Until the next time.
We want to go swimming.
This is not fair. This weather only exacerbates an already ominous-looking Monday.
