The best of the internet, chopped into tiny bits and grilled for your enjoyment. Ain't It Cool News claims to have found the final explanation for how Terry Gilliam will complete his film The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus now that the star, Heath Ledger, is dead: apparently Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell will all fill in for Ledger in "a weird sort of I’m Not There-esque tribute to the actor." Huh. Well, that......

The last time I saw Cat Power perform was the first and only time I saw the entire Trocadero fall in love at once. Her voice and her persona could only be described as haunting yet powerful. Some people showed in the hopes that she'd fall apart, as she has been wont to do, but a lot happens in a decade. Much more centered by the time The Greatest dropped, Chan Marshall prowled the stage......

A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets. A couple of new photos from Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings almost burned down the TLA Friday night with one of the hottest shows I've seen there all year. The sold-out crowd was hyped. Fresh off of a fantastic set by openers The Budos Band, the audience was abuzz with anticipation. The Dap Kings, who know how to work a crowd, came out and warmed up the audience without vocals before introducing Jones. When she came on stage in her all......

A steaming hot pile of our favorite things from around the internets. A nineteen-year-old talked about shooting up his school on Xbox Live, a fellow player took him seriously, and now the kid has been arrested, suspended, and is looking at a maximum of one year in jail and a $5,000 fine if convicted. Philadelphia Theatre Workshop, as its name might suggest, is a local production company dedicated to new works of theatre. As such, the plays presented by PTW might sometimes seem a bit underdeveloped and in need of further workshopping before they're ready for the neon lights of Broadway. That's certainly the case with 50 West 50, PTW's current production. The show's plot, in a nutshell, loosely resembles the lyrics to J. Geils Band's classic "Love Stinks":......

Radiohead, as everyone knows, is The Best Band in the World. But once, long ago, in the far off '90s, they just played really, really good pop music. Then came their career-changing album OK Computer. With this album, they created their own new genre - a heady, intellectual, electronica/indie pop that blew everyone's minds. It wasn't only a success and a huge turning point for Radiohead, it's a true masterpiece, and a watershed release in......
