This Phillyist was considering translating all of today's Phillyist posts into pirate speak in recognition of today being "Talk Like a Pirate Day," - but we feared our fellow wordsmiths would take umbrage to our fiddling with their well-crafted words and would keel-haul us but good. (The pen, after all, is mightier than the sword.) Also, I've been told that The Grey Lodge (6235 Frankford Avenue) is honoring Talk Like a Pirate Day with eye patches and "booty." (Thanks, Deb, for the tip.) If you know of any other venues celebrating this silly, swashbuckling day, please let Phillyist know in the comments.

Strangely, Pirate-speak isn't too welcome where I work in a professional capacity, so I'm looking for a good outlet or two.
