Local Accents are Not Sexy

Maybe there was a demand for this kind of thing in the eighties. But Phillyist would imagine phone sex with this woman is only slightly better than phone sex with Fran Drescher. At least she's not offering a glass of "wooder." Shudder.

Why don't you have that Texan twang?

After all, power is sexy. And polite. So don't you want to sound at least a little like Our Fearless Leader?

And here I thought you were a patriot!

Actually, it would be pretty awesome if you wrote with a Texas accent. It's kind of cute.

Edgar Allan Poe had a Southern accent (or at least used one---beautifully, hypnotically, in his (in)famous public performances). It's what allowed him to proudly rhyme "vista" and "kissed her."

Heh. "Tawk." Heh heh.
